Irene Gaffigan Obituary
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of CPBR member Irene Gaffigan, 68, who passed away unexpectedly Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, at her home.
Irene was born May 10, 1948, in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of Milton and Zelda (Levy) Corb. She graduated from high school in New York. In December 1988, she married James Gaffigan, who predeceased her in 2009. Irene was a real estate agent for many years, living in Edison, New Jersey, before retiring to Vermont in 2003. She often was the greeter at many of our meetings.
She enjoyed knitting, weaving, sewing and quilting. Survivors include her brother, Marvin Corb of Howard Beach, New York, and several cousins. CPBR made a $100 donation to the Lucy MacKenzie Humane Society in her name, as she loved pets.
