Sammy Pierce Scholarship Applications
The Crown Point Board of Realtors is pleased to announce that funds for two $1,000 scholarships are available to be awarded again this year to qualifying students. The Sammy Pierce Memorial Scholarship highlighting volunteerism, was created by the CPBOR to honor the memory of our fellow Realtor, Sammy Pierce, who died in a tragic motorcycle accident. Well known in the area, not only for his real estate expertise, he was equally known for his willingness to help others when he saw a need. It is that quality that the Scholarship Committee hopes to recognize and reward in students today of any age who are going on to higher learning. Candidates shall exhibit a strong history of volunteer or charitable service; leadership skills; and a commitment to their community and humanitarian efforts.
Eligibility: Residents of the Andover, Baltimore, Cavendish, Chester, Clarendon, Grafton, Ludlow, Mount Holly, Plymouth, Reading, Rockingham, Shrewsbury, Springfield, Wallingford, Weathersfield, Weston, and West Windsor, communities who are continuing their education in a two or four year college program. Public and private school students, home-schooled students, college students, adult learners and previous recipients returning to upper classes may apply.
If you were not able to attend the Paragon Comprehensive class, you are urged to do so. Check the training calendar for this class as well as many other offerings. Everyone in attendance picked up tricks and skills that they were not aware of previously. Also, you may not be aware that there is a Paragon YouTube channel for mini workshops.
