Members of the Crown Point Board of Realtors® care about the communities we serve! Throughout the year, CPBR actively supports local charitable organizations in an effort to improve the quality of life in our local neighborhoods and throughout the state. Our efforts include:
Holiday Food Drive
For many years, the Crown Point Board of Realtors has hosted an annual holiday gathering for its members and affiliates. As part of this longstanding tradition, attendees are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items and monetary contributions to support local families and individuals in need during the holiday season.
All food donations and collected funds are distributed among the following community organizations:
- Black River Good Neighbors
- Springfield Family Center
- Grafton Food Shelf
- CAFC
- Wayside/Mountainside Food Shelf
- Reading/Windsor Food Shelf
Through the generosity of our members and affiliates, this annual food drive helps strengthen our local communities and provides meaningful support to those facing food insecurity during the holiday season.
Community Fund
As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting the community, CPBR raises thousands of dollars each year. These funds play a vital role in enabling us to provide immediate assistance to individuals and families facing unexpected hardships.
Whether helping a family displaced by a fire or supporting someone dealing with a serious health crisis, our Community Fund allows us to offer timely financial relief when it is needed most.

The Sammy Pierce Memorial Scholarships are given in honor of Sammy Pierce, who was a member of the CPBR and is remembered as one of the most generous and thoughtful REALTORS ® in Windsor County. His generous character and the impact he made on his community are honored by this annual scholarship.
The Sammy Pierce Memorial Scholarships are awarded annually to deserving students in recognition of volunteer time and talent. These scholarships are open to students in communities served by the Crown Point Board of REALTORS ® (Andover, Baltimore, Cavendish, Chester, Clarendon, Grafton, Ludlow, Mount Holly, Plymouth, Reading, Rockingham, Shrewsbury, Springfield, Wallingford, Weathersfield, Weston, and West Windsor).
The Crown Point Board of REALTORS ® awards $1,000 to two deserving students. The students may be high school graduates, homeschoolers, returning college students, previous recipients returning to upper classes, or adult students continuing their education in a two or four- year college program. While the course of study is not restricted in any way, applicants must have a strong history of volunteer community service. Applications and information for the Sammy Pierce Memorial Scholarships are available at your local high school or by contacting Helen Wachtel at 802-275-3902. The deadline to submit applications for these scholarships each year is in May. Selections will be announced in June.
